The President of the United States fearing ttoat he may receive a snub, hesitates to convey the resolution upon Armenian affairs to the Powers. The Novosti says that Germany underrates the formidable power of England. The wreck of the filibustering steamer on Long Islaud has frustrated the plans of the Cuban rebels, for whom the munitions pf war were intended. A committee of the United States Senate has resolved to ask that the Cuban insurgents be recognised as belligerents.
