Fire at Moutoa.

We regret to have to report that early yesterday morning the residence of Mr Allan Strang at Moutoa was wholly destroyed by fire. Mr S rang has just returned from a irip to En^knd with Mrs Strang and had Ief 5 Mrs Strang in Wellington with hvr parents whilst he saw the house pat straight after their twelvemonths absence. Part of the house was erected when the Messrs Sirang purchased the property from Mr Oiver, bat Mr Strang had the building thoroughly renovated and added considerab l y to it. The house was most convenient and its loss by fire is to be regretted. It appears that no expiation carf he given for the house catching fire. Mr Scrang, a little before noon, made a fire in the kitchen and almost directly afterwards the building was in flames. The house and furniture was in* *ured in the Liverpool, London & Globe lasurance Company, for which Mr Young is the local agent ; the house fur £800 and the furniture for £1000. ___,__,
