A great photographic camera for taking full length life-size porraits has b en made and used with much success by a Dublin film. The camera takes a p ate 7ft. high by sft. wide. A process of packing butter in glass, with an outside covering of piaster of Paris, has been invented. The inventor claims that these solid bricks of bu ter can be loaded in ca es on shipboard as ordinary | cargo. The invention is being rapidly developed in Melbourne. Messrs Abraham & Williams advertise an important, clearing sale at Carnarvon on Tuesday next. The proprietor of the '' Cash Book and Toy Stal, Mr Alf Fraser' announces that the well-known Star almanacs are now to hand. He also reminds our readers that the b -st values for books, &c, still are to be obtained at his establishment. Mr Osborne on the first page has a new advertisement. It appeared in our last issue, but owing to pressure of work, after the holidays, we omitted to draw at -en < ion to it. It is one of Osborne's, and that means the ' ad ' is well worth perusing. To-night Messrs Lovpday promise to have on hand " lines " which the rush on Xmas Eve cleared them out of. To-night will probably witness another occasion which will lighten the hearts of the proprietors and the pockets of the purchasers. The Borough Clerk notifies that Cons ab e Gille^pie has been appointed Registrar of Dogs. The advertisement contains gone notes of interest to sheep-farmers and drovers. Mr W. B. Ehodes desires a happy new year to ah He has, curiously to state, 50 porkers for sale.
