Foxton Borough Council.

The usual meeting of the above Council was held at the Library Buildings last night at 7 80. Present— The Mayor (G. Nye), Crs. Bennessy, Westwood, Osborne and Walsh.

The minutea of the previous meet> ing were read and confirmed. The following resolutions were agreed to:—

Proposed by the Mayor, seconded by Cr Hennesay, That Constable •illeapie be appointed dog tax cols leotor at a shilling per dog for the year 1896. Proposed by Cr Westwood, seconded by Cr "Walsh, That leave of absence be granted to the Clerk for 14 days, his yearly holiday, to com* mence from January 2nd, 3896. Proposed by the Mayor, seconded by Cr Hennessy, That the resolution of April 2nd, 1894, calling meetings of this Council at 7.80 p.m. be rescinded, and for the future the general meetings be held at 2 p.m. on (he first Monday in each month.
