The Deepest Water in the World.

In the course of a survey at the Pacific Islands the survey vessel Penguin reports that she made attempts to obtain soundings near the Friendly group, but the wire snapped at a depth ot 29,000* feet without tho bed of the ocean being reached. This is the deepest known water in the world, and is nearly 1500 feet deeper than the deepest known in the North Pacific and 2000 feet deeper than any known in the North Atlantic.
