Sports Committee Meeting.

The Committee met on Tuesday evening at the Manawatu Hotel to pass accounts and consider various matters. The question of the running of the 440 yards heat in the Foxton Football Handicap was discussed and t Mr Bradcock moved and Mr Harrison seconded, That A. Symons, W. Wallburton and H. Walls be fined £1 or in default disqualified from running at Sports in Foxton for two^years, and that the above resolution be forwarded to the Committee of the Shannon and Palmer-, aton Sports for their guidance.— Carried. The question of O'Brien's and Pittama* running in the 120 yards bardies was thoroughly discussed and the committee came to the con* elusion that the race was won fairly.
