Dean added that he might also have made it out of a spirit of vengeance against Meagher. The Judge offered the prisoner a chance to go into the witness-box, but he declined to do so. Sentence has been deferred. Mrs Reynolds has been committed for trial for perjury* She will appear on Friday with Dean and the others on the charge of conspiracy.
