HOUSE OP REPBESENTATIVES. Tuesday, Octobeb 15. The Housja met at 2.30. The ' Alcoholic Liquors Sale Control Act Amendment Bill was re* ceived from the Legislative Council. Mr Seddon moved that a Committee, consisting of Messrs McNab, Meredith, Mitchelsen, and the mover, be appointed to draw up reasons for disagreeing with the Council's amendments. A long debate ensued, in which both the aotion of the Council and the composition of the Premier's Committee were severely criticised. Sir Robert Stout was nominated, but refused to serve on the Committee. Mr W. Hutchison moved to drop the Bill, but this was lost on a division. Eventually the Premjer's Committee was appointed.
