News has been received that, the French troops captured Antananarivo on 27th September i The dotirt and the Government fled to Ambosistra. The Kothscbilds of Paris have given 100,000 frailcs to the fund for the relief of the French troops wounded in Madagascar. The Servian press demand 3 thai the country shall join the Triple Alliance. The Embassies have asked the Sultan for a definite reply within 24 hours as to whether he accepts the scheme of Armenian reforms. The Sultan has sent Fuad Pasha to inspect the forts on the Dardanelles, and it is reported that torpHops have been forwarded to the Straits. Many Armenians have been killed at Trebi2ond in conflict with the Turks. The principal Armenian churches have been closed, and the refugees disarmed and then released. The police are starving out the refugees in the other churches to compel them to surrender. Many of the wounded rioters have refused to take the rations ordered them by the doctotv.
