The newly-elected Councillors, Messrs H. Border, P. Hennessyand £. Osborne having. made the usual declaration and signed their names, took their seats at the table. The minutes of last meeting were read atid confirmed. The following correspondence was read:— . jz*L Ftofa Manawatu County Council, asking for payment of &WTV&.^fd, being 3 quarter's interest on insciibed Government loan, also sending in account for metalling part of Foxton Racecourse Road, halfshare of £%7 103. From Auditor-General, asking for "printed copies of balance-sheet. From Surveyor-General, asking for area and amount of income from > Borough Reserves. From the Mayor, re expenses to Wellington to attend railway conference.
