The Harper Cases.

Leonard Harper has been remanded to Christchureh.

The warrants in Inspector Pender's possession relate to eight separate charges of fraudulent conversion, in addition to that on which he was brought up on Saturday, viz., of misappropriating £1500, entrusted to him by J H. Robin.

Harper is charged with having converted to his own use £1750 entrusted to him by William Miles, Ellen Miles, and Eliza Hurst ; £1000 belonging to William S. Passmore ; £1000 of William M. Barnes' ; £750 of Mary Louisa Webber's, being part of a trust of £2000; £8000 of W. Hotham's; £275 of Thomas A. Hope's, being part of a trust of £2000; and £2250 of Hugh H. Gilleti's, part of a trust of £5000.
