Meeting of Milk Suppliers.
The meeting of milk suppliers and others interested in the dairying industry was held, last night at Mr McMillan's auction rooms, Mr T. P. Williams: occupying the chair. The objeotwasto meet the manager of the N.Z. Farmers' Dairy Union, Mr Young, who placed many strong facts before hW hearers. He said that if the suppliers . wished to obtain good prices for their milk they must adhereflUi^y to cleanliness, and if the creameries did not get a firstclass cream, the factories likewise were unable to .turn out the best butter, and place it on the market fit to compete against ;tbe Danish or Swedish article. IJe also spoke of the folly of sending milk to the creameries sour,, as the suppliers should v aerate tfceir milk, which could oe done in various simple mannerftsApme of which he illustrated. Thjß speaker was attentively listened to, and much information was obtained. At the conclusion a vote of thanks, and confidence in Mr Young as manager, was carried unanimously, on the proposition of Mr Bowe, seconded by Mr Easfcon.
