A Rough Time.

The party of four organised by the North- western and West Auetralian Exploration CompaDy, led by Moseleyj have arrived at Coolgardie, after a five months' journey from Port Augusta across the heart of Central Australia in search of gold. They had eight camels and three horses with them. The cduntry traversed was fearfully difficult to explore, and in one part they had to cross a 700 mile slretch of desert. They suffered terrible hardships from want of fodder and water. They had several other dry stretches, but on the whole water was fairly plentiful, though feed was very scarce. The blacks, too, were troublesome. The party. failed to make any gold discoveries of any importance, but Moseley is confident that a wide area of aurU ferous country will be discovered, aa tlievo are plenty of promising gjgns.
