(Before R. L. Stanford, Esq., S.M.) Thuksday, August 8. CIVIL. J. H. Powell v. John Gordon — Claim, £8 12s 9d. Mr Wallace appeared for plaintiff. No appearance of defendant. Judgment for amount and costs, Ids ; solicitor's fee, ss. Bertie Gray v. W. Hamer — Claim, ill 17s 6d. Mr Bay said the case was settled last Court day and the application must be one for rehearing, whereas it appeared as having beet) reinstated. The S.M. said the application was not one for a rehearing but for a reinstatement. It should have been an application for a rehearing. Rehearing granted for next Court day on the payment into Court of the sum of £1 17s 6d. P. Hennessy & Co. v. PL Aldridge —Claim, £6 Os Id. Defendant admitted the debt. Judgment for amount and costs, 10s. j+ SP. Newth v. H. Buckle— Claim, 10a. Defendant admitted debt and offered to pay at the rat* of 2s a month. Judgment for amount and costs, ss. Mrs McLean v. C. Adin — Claim, JB6 18s lOd. Mr Moore for plaintiff. No appearance of defendant. Judgment for amount and costs, solicitor's fee, 265. P. Hennessy & Co. v. A. Burr — Claim, £6 14s Id. No appearance of defendant. Judgment for amount and costs, 15s. W. H. Howe v. J. AndersonClaim , £8 19s 9d. Mr Moore for plaintiff. Mr Ray for defendant. It was stated the counsel had agreed to a postponement to next Court day. Mrs McLean y. Mrs Urwick— Claim, £2 18s 6d. Mr Moore for plaintiff. Mr Ray for defendant. Id was contended that the account was one incurred by Mr Urwick. The S.M. uphald this contention and gave judgment for defendant, with solicitor's fee of 21s. W. E. Gascoigne v. R. Hannah & Co. (Interpleader summons.) Mr Ray appeared for the execution creditors. Adjourned to 24th Aug. CKIMINAL. Polica v. W. H. Howe. Adjourned to Tuesday, 18th August. Police v. William Wells. Application for prohibition order. Constable Gillespie gate evidsnce of the defendant wasting his money. Mrs Wells asked him to take steps. Wells had agreed to these steps . being taken. " Prohibition order granted to apply to the two licensed houses at Shannon with costs against defendant of 73.
