Death of Judge Richmond.
With great regret we have to record the death of His Honor Mr Justice Richmond, at his residence, Wellington on Saturday night, after s>. short illness.
The deceased was born in London in 1821, and was called to the bar in 1845. He married a sister of the late Sir Harry Atkinson, and with him left London for New Plymouth.
Mr Richmond was raised to t ""Supreme Court Bench in 1862.
.The deceased gentleman is survived by his widow, five daughters — two 0l whom are married, one to Mr
Edward Blake, of Crewkerne, Somersetshire^ and the other to Dr Fell — and four sons, viz., Mr C. F. Richmond, solicitor, New Plymouth ; Mr Alfred Richmond, of the firm of Goodbehere and Richmond, solicitors, Feilding ; Mr Robert Richmond (Richmond and Mason, surveyors), $nd Mr E. T. Richmond, of Clere, Biojunond and Atkinson, architects.
