A lengthy telegram . from. the Premier was read urging a j segment' of their differences and \ askiagsif a Minister should go np. ' DiiJjPi the meeting an urgent telegrsra W# received from the Minister of labour urging that a; Minister, should go up. It ftfy Monk the Opposition candidate Jisitp be kept out Ministers will have "to do something with or for their unruly legions. How muoh "will this election cost the colony? ■No wonder the Government wore pot '"particularly an\iou3 that Sir George firey should resign, The -girage-of our public men is frequently accurately taken by our contemporary the Jfyst. Sir Walter Duller in all M* glory occupied the chaiv^l^tiK^ard banquet in the Dvillpned on Wednesday night, and the circumstance is thus commented on— 4i The Chairman's speech, too, was excellent of its kind, but its glowing figures and sweet com- . pliments only inspired one feeling— everyone asked, mentally or orally, ' " What is it all for ?"
