Oar readers are reminded that the (ioncert; in aid of the Foxton State School will be given to-night. It is to be hoped everyone will make it a point of attending, as the low prices of admission should be taken advantage of. The programme appears in another column, and it will be seen that some old favorites, and also several new performers, have kindly consented to take part. The school is sadly in want of funds, and the public can snow their appreciation by attending in such numbers that the efforts of the performers will be recognised, and the funds replenished considerably.

Mr J. B. McMillan will hold his sale of fruit trees and shrubs at his rooms on Thursday next at 1.30 p.m. sharp. They are from the well-known nursery of Messrs J. Mayo and Sons, Palmerston. This is the first opportunity given to buyers this season of procuring trees, &c, and should attract a good attendance and spirited bidding.
