Time, 2inin 43sec. The betting at the start was : — 9 to 1 agst Sir Visto, 100 to 8 Kirkconneil, 83 to 1 Curzon, 100 to 15 Laveno. BecUhampton, which ran fourth, led the field into the straight, when Sir Visto made his effort, and won by three-quarters of a length. It was an unexpected victory, and the crowd wildly cheered Lord Rosebery as he led the winner back to the saddling enclosure.
