■■' ' ♦ '*• The adjourned meeting of the Manawatu County Council was held yesterday, when there were present : — Crs Ransom (chair), Robinson, Hammond, Wilson and Masters. The minutes of the previous meeting having been read and oonfirmed, the following resolutions were passed : — Proposed by Cr Hammond, seconded by Cr Wilson, That the names of William Langdon, be substituted" for Thomas Wilson, John Strang for Alien , gtrang,. and James Managh for F. Y. liethbridge as requested in the correspondence. — Carried. . . "■:■-, Proposed by Cr Hammond, seconded by Cr Robinson, That P. Guerin be requested to send in a report of stock impounded in the Awahou-ridibg.---OMried. ...Proposed by Or Ransom, seconded by Cr Robinson, That Mr Bray's report re Rangibikei Bridge at Bulls be received., and be forwarded on to the Rangitikei County Council. — .Carried. • •••■•--_... Proposed by Cr Wilson,,.. seconded by Cr Robinson, That the Ferry house and pole on the Foxton side of the Manawatu be shifted to a safer position, and that the overseer take immediate steps to let the work and at the same time attend to the bridge complained ot by Mi Gardner on the Foxton Paika road. — Carried. Proposed by Cr Robinson, seconded by Cr WUson. That Cr Strang's resignation be accepted, and that the Clerk be instructed to take steps to fill the vacancy. — Carried. Proposed by Cr Ransom, seconded by Cr Robinaon, That the matter of metalling Rowe's line be left in the hands of Cr Hammond to deal with. —Carried. Proposed by Or Wilson, seconded by Cr Hammond, That £150 be transferred from the general fund to the credit of Mount Stewart Riding I account in accordance with the 1 agreement to plaoe £160 to eaoh of t the ridings of the.
