An 'advertisement of the above firm of nursery and seedsmen appears elsewhere. It will be noticed they advertise an immense number of trees to select from theiv Palmerston nursery. The catalogue issued by the firm is the book to obtain, and it will be ff^gfcrded on application. In it Wine particulars, beyond the ordinary everyday fruits, are given, such as Mayo's weeping peach, chosen for 4tß superior quality from some thousands of seedlings; the Japanese Perisaiffiai&jlie'beat-.aorts of which becooi|fu^(jio6B and high jy nutritious j when^lp^The Japanese ' cultivate about: eighty sorts for different pur- j poses ; the Japanese plums are described, especially the Botankin, a large heart-shaped greenish red plum with a small stone, suitable for splitting and drying; the Chinese Quince is highly recommended, the fruit attaining a large size, 15 to 20 inches in circumference, and from 6 to 8 inches in length. It is very tardy. Of course the firm have the usually large assortment of all kinds of fruit trees, as well as forest trees and hedge plants, ferns and flowers. A visit* to their nursery is invited.
