New Zealand Farmers' Dairy Union.
It is reported in Wellington that both Mr Birch and Mr Roberts have left the Dairy Union. *; Troubles appear looming in the distance, and early in the week a meeting was held in Featheraton when Mr Bernard Brown, the chairman of directors, addressed a large meeting of local milk suppliers, the meeting lasting from 8 p.m. , till X a.m. Mr J. G. Cox was voted to the chair. Mr Brown explained that the cheques for the past month's milk accounts had been held back on account of the suppliers having passed a resolution to break off , from the Union. He stated that should the suppliers sign an agreement for the twelve months of their original guarantee • jwhioh have yet to run, the cheques would be paid. Thif was refused, and Mr Thompson, solicitor, has gone to Wellington, and is to get an answer from the by Friday evening as to whether they will pay the cheques or not.
