Polo.
The polo tournament was continued at Christchurch on Tuesday with the matches between Rangitikei 2nd and North Canterbury. The weather was again fine, and there was a large attendance. The first game produced some splendid play, but the Rangitikei Ist, besides being the better mounted team, were a little stronger than their opponents, and ultimately won by five goals to one. The game between North Canterbury and Rangitikei 2nd was of a most exoiting description, and at the close of the stipulated time play was a tie, each team having secured four goals. It was decided to play another spell, and amidst great excitement K. Dalrymple hit a goal and secured the match for Ranei tikei 2nd. The following were the teams engaged— Rangitikw Ist: Blundell, Wilson, Riddiford, Bill. Warrengate : Chapman, McDonald, Cameron, - and Howson. Bangitikei 2nd : W. ' Keiller, K. Dalrymple, F. Keiller, G. Wilson. North Canterbury: Lance, Dampier, Gray and CrossleyMcDonald.— Press Association.
