The German Government has decided to send exhibits to the French Exhibition in 1890. Thirty-one men have been burned to death in a Spanish mine. A Transvaal force of burghers, 1000 strong, is encamped on the Swaziland border, and has summoned the King of the latter territory to be installed paramount chief, or otherwise to be deposed.
