dose one and excellent play was shown by both sides. The Oroua men led off the score and secured 2 goals to Warrengate's one. Messrs 0. Robinson and A. Strang scoring for their side and Mr Chapman for his. In the second spell Warrengate scored one goal, and the Oroua only got one goal, obtained by a splendid hit by Mr Gower. In the last spell no goal was made ott either side.

Mr Chapman pluckily remounted and played the game out. The teams were as follows: — Warrengate— Messrs Chapman (captain), Krull, Harrison and McDonald. Oroua — Messrs McLennan (captain), A. Strang, Gower and 0. Robinson. Messrs J. Strang was timekeeper, and W. Strang umpire. The, teams were hospitably entertained by Mrs McLennan, as well as a large number- of visitors.
