Definition of a hack—" A hack means a horse that has never won an advertised race to the net value of over 40 soys. (hack and hunters' races excepted). 2. Nominations and acceptances (in proper form) must be accompanied with the necessary fee, otherwise they will be rejected. If nominations and acceptances are telegraphed, the fees must be forwarded by first mail thereafter. This rule will ba strictly enforced. 8. Nominations must state age, colour, pedigree, and past performances where not known to the handi* oapper, and colours to be worn by the rider. 4. The winner of any advertised race, after the declaration of weights, to the net value of 80 soys. to carry a penalty of 61bs. in the Sandon Handicap. The winner of any advertised race, after the declaration of weights to the net value of 80 soys. to carry a penalty of 71bs. in the Flying Stakes Handicap and 61bs. in the Tramway Handicap. 5. All races to be run under the Rules of Racing as adopted by the Metropolitan Clubs in New Zealand. NOMINATIONS for Sandon Handicap, Flying Stakes Handicap, Handicap Hurdles, Electric Handicap, and Tramway Handicap close with the Secretary at the Junction Hotel, Sandon, on SATURDAY, 28rd February, 1895, at 9 p.m. WEIGHTS will be declared on or about SATURDAY, 2nd March.
