Harris one-third cost of cleaning bnt drain running though Section No 175, Sandon W:\ng, and that Mr Harris make his own arrangements with the settlers interested to assist him. Carried. Proposed by Cr Taylor, seconded by Cr Robinson, That the Chairman apply to the Bank of Australasia for an excess limit of £250 up to Slst March, 1895. Carried. Proposed by Cr Strang, seconded by Cr Robinson, That .J. Wilson, Shannon Ferry, be allowed to order a new Bet of ropes and blocks for the ferry, and send the account into this Council. Carried. Proposed by Cr Taylor, seconded by Cr Masters, That H. Wislaws tender for collecting the dog-tax for the year 1895 be accepted. Mr C. Bull waited on the Council in regard to protective works needed in the Oroua River, and it was proposed by Cr Wilson, seconded by Or Ransom, That tenders be called for the work on the Oroua River, to bain within a fortnight, and that Or Wilson have power to accept tendors if the settlers will guarantee the Council against loss to the extent of £150 in the event of the Government not agreeing to the loan. Carried. Proposed by Cr Taylor, seconded by Cr Hammond, That tenders be called for metalling and formation on Scott's Ferry road. Tenders to be in by noon of next meeting of the I Council. Carried. Proposed by Cr Ransom, seconded by Or Hammond— -That tenders be called for metal fo. repairs on Bank Line, Campbelltown, and Waitohi Riding, and also- for formation on Tompkins' Line, tinders to be in by noon of next meeting of the Council. Carried. A special meeting was held, and it was proposed by Cr Wilson, seconded b_r Cr Masters— That for the purpose of providing interest and sinkfog fund on a loan of £250 to be raised under Government Loans to Local Bodies' Act for protective works on the Oroua River, near Feildins, a special rate of 5 -16 ths of _*, penny in the £ be struck over properties as defined in special order.
