His sire, Malua, won the Melbourne Australian and Adelaide Cups, Newmarket Handicap, and many weight for age races, as well as the Grand National Hurdle Race. Malua's first son, Malvolio, won the Melbourne Gup. Haere s dam, Noma, by Conrad (imp ), out of Thalia (imp.\. is dam of Darn well, another Melbourne Cup winner. In the Victorian show ring Haere took first prize at Ballun and Myrniong for 3 yeass beating Malua, Mentor, Calma, Enfilade Hnd other go6d horse?, J Terms — £4 4s for single mare ; two or moi'e mares as per agreement.
