The Carnarvon tram consisted of two- carriages and two trucks and brought over 150 passengers. Settlers from Carnarvon, Moutoa, Shannon, i ß«tttherlea, Levin and' Otaki .rode and drove to the course, and we counted over 20 carriages drawn up *aiow&th,e > .s.traight. I It would be impossible in our j space to give the names of those most prominent in public life who visited us, but we may just say we noticed Mr J. G. Wilson, M.H.R., Mr John Stevens, M.H.8., and Mr Qonald Fraser who was very nearly 'an M.H:R. :.-■ The win of Mr C.
