The Races.

We have a very little more to add to what we have already written about .the Races on Tuesday. It appears, both by the prices given for the privileges, and from other sources, that the gathering on the course on that day will be a large one. The acceptances are excellent, showing the handicapping having been iair, and good fields are therefore likely to face the starter.

The Honorary Secretary, Mr J. B. McMillan, has been unceasing in hi!) attentions to the course, and to all those hundred and one things a secretary has to attend to, to make the meeting go off well. The late showers have wonderfully improved the track, and it is likely to be appreciated by the horse .owners. The privilege holders 'gge jul good men, active and attentive and will do their best to attend to the wants of the visitors. ■ - -.;,,. „

The Stewards and other officials have secured a name for care and iodepeMerfce and as. supporters of sound racing and straight running, thus men' can back their fancies knowing thai; all will be fair and square and above board.

Given a fine dij,. fortunately a usual ocfturrenjcev ,-this meeting promises t6 record one for pleasure, for large fields and for close finishes. We trust to notice most of our readers, with their 'Sisters, iheiT cousins twni'tnevaouwf not to mention, more distant rela« tions, watching the Mueiflg &a ifuegday, and g^theringjin tlbejlividends.
