Charlotte-street. 'To resume my little chat" on. fashions, I must tell your of the latest long ties, which do not tie in a' bow, but are just twisted once round, tne throat and the ends fastened on the chest with a large brooch or? buokle. Most of these ties are made in moire silks of all shades and finished off at the broad, ends With a lace flounce, they are very ejftsf to ma\e and are a pretty finish toj» 4 costume. A very tasteful Race gown I noticed lately was of black spotted crepon, the. plain bodice finished with tiny ■" jet trimmings, and the leg of mutton sleeves were of black, moire, with this was worn a"s.maUstar bonnet of jet, with an upstanding sky blue chiffon bow at the back, the tie was. also sky blue chiffon, with broad satin stripes running through it, and a frill of butter Coloured lace at the ends. .The newest belts, to be worn with blouses, are of striped ribbon, to correspond with the band on the hat. . The newest sleeves are called lampshade sleeves, they fit closely round the shoulders and gradually become wider and bunchy to the elbow where it finishes off with an accordian frill. Long gloves are necessary with this sleeve, and look extremely elegant when of the same shade as the gown worn. Signa.
