The Clan Macdonald.
: ♦ — ; The Dae de Tarente, grandson of the famons Marshal Macdonald, fche hero of Wagram, has addressed a communication fco the Figaro on the subject of the Clan Macdonald, of which he is a member. The clan holds meetings bi-annually in Edinburgh or Glasgow, at which every Maodonald makes ifc a point of honour t6 .be present, attired in full highland, costume. A "chief" is elected for the year who entertains ' the assembly with a recital of the stirring deefls performed in fcbe past by members of the tilan. What renders the meetings particularly interesting, is the idea—essentially noble — which nnderlies them. The rich and well-to-do members contribute according to their means, for the support of their less fortunate brethren. . ■ ,
