Cricket.

On New Year's day a match was played in Mr Easton's paddock Foxton, between the Foxton and Shannon teams. The match had tc be decided, owing to want of time on the first innings, and therefore was gained by the Shannon men. Tbe chief item in the game was the splenhid score of 74, made up ol many hits for three, made by Fullei of the Shannon team.
