China and Japan.
At the request of China, the President of the United States has despatched Mr John Foster, late Secretary of State, to assist the Chinese peace envoys in Tokio in arrauging the terms of peace. The Chinese have evacuated Nieuchwang, and retreated to Denshodai, where the Chinese forces are massing.
