tive Gantley found the missing property at the Napier railway station and took possession of it. They were also charged with breaking open a box belonging to Mr Wilke3, and stealing articles therefrom valued at £18. The box had been left at the Otaki railway station, where ifc was evidently broken open, and the articles were found in their possession when arrested at Feilding by Constable Tuohy ( The prisoners j were committed for trial on both I charges. Three charges of house- ; breaking at Hastings are also pending against the accused.
