A Lady's Letter.
WEtxiNOTON, Dec. 18th, 1894. It turned out a beautiful day for the Amateur Athletic Sports on Saturday last and everything went off well. Bell, President j>f the Club, wag present, also Mrs" BellT who. looked very well in a very light r grey skirt and. jacket, white; waisjf- | coat, collar and red tie, black lace hat with red flowers. The Misses Bell wore pretty deep cream cos^ tumes; Misß Seed, wore. a. pretty summer costume of cream striped material trimmed with lace, cream < hat trimmed with black lace and yellow tips ; Miss M. Seed wore a light figured gown and cream, hat ; Miss Stewart, black skirt and short jacket, white blouse, large black hat with white flowers ; Mrs C. Richardson, light fawn gown, trimmed with ecrei lace, pretty black hat .with pink roses and tied with narrow velvet strings ; her sißter Misa <■• Pownall wore a neat grey costume with white waistcoat, and black and pink hat ; Miss Gore, sage" green canvas gown trimmed with- fecrie lace, small black hat with flowers ; \ her sister, wore a gown of "light ' greenish grey lightened with oream lace, black hat with cream iac« bow? % and flowers ; Miss Elliot wore a, , pretty cream gown, and large' white feathered hat; Mis 3 Young, fawn^ costume ; Miss Harding, white daek & costume and small black floral h>t ; Miss Leetham, crushed strawberry coloured gown, with sleeves of bjack satin, large white hat with ostrich ; feathers ; Miss Dransfi eld, brown i and white checked gown, small floral hat; Miss Dora Heywood, black shirt, white blouse and hat trimmed with tulle and flowers ; her sister wore white duck and sailor 1 " hat ; Miss Graham looked well in .ftv black and white costume; the Misses Henry also wore black and white; Miss Nathan wore a light grey gown much trimmed with white silk, black tulle hat, with coloured flowers ; her Bister wore „ neat tweed tailor made costume*; Mra J. V. *''"* Yesterday, the wadding of Mijg, ; Ellen Mary Gore to Mr Thomas Walter, was celebrated in St. Pauls ' Church, which waa crowded with spectators long before three o'clock. The church was artistically decorated with ferns and white flowers, and .. the marriage ceremony took,. place under a huge arch of white and green, the effect being very pretty.
