Inglis, the well known Victorian breeder, whose possession lie remained up to time of sale. His Rive, Malua, won the Melbourne Australian and Adelaide Cups, Newmarket Handicap, and many weight for age races, as well as the Grand National Hurdle Race. Malua's first son, Malvolio, won tho Melbourne Cup. Haere's dam, Norna, by Conrad (imp ), out of Thalia (lmp.V ig dam of Darriwell, another Melbourne Cup winner. In the Victorian show ring Haere took fh>t prize at Ballan and Myrniong for 3 yeass beating Malua, Mentor, Oalma, Enfilade and other good horses.
