Gorton & Son's Stock Report. Bulls, 6th Dec. Our sale at Sanson and Wai tuna was made up of good entries of both cattle and sheep, and they were both brisker than usual. At Sanaon we sold most of the cattle and sheep — at Waituna all the sheep which were of good quality — but all the vendors prices were too high on some of the cattle. There seems to be a little more demand for wethers than other classes of sheep. Our quotations are — SANSON. Cattle— Fat bullocks, £7; fat cows, £4 to £0 5s ; fat heifers, £6 ; yearling steers, 80s to £2 ; mixed 18 months, £2 2s ; 18-months steers, £2 5s to £2 10s ; 2£ year steers, £3 lGs ; heifers in calt, £3 10s ; weaners, 15s to 21s. Sheep— 2th wethers, 7s Id to 7s 8d ; ewes with lambs, 5s 9d to 9s 6d ; fat ewes, 6s to 6s 6d. WAITUNA. Cattle— Fat bullocks £6 ; fat cow?, £4 17s 6d ; 24- yr steers, £3 7s ; 18-months steers, £2 13s ; yearling heifers, £1 16s 6d ; weaners, 335.
