The Microbe of Murder.
The "Contagion of Murder" is the title ofa work just published, in whioh rDr Aubry attempts to prove that crime is as muoh an infectious disease as any other malady propogated by germs. The great feature of modern science is that it attempts to traoe every phenomena to its primary oause, so Dr Aubry's idea, startling as it may seem, is perhaps not without some foundation. He defines the contagion of crime as the act by which the criminal idea is imposed upon, or transmitted to, an individual, generally predisposed to receive it. The microbe of murder has not yet been discovered, but the doctor thinks that this is one ot the possibilities of the near future,
