A Famous Actress.

Mrs Stirling, the famous actress, has somewhat startled the world that remembers her histrionio career by her marriage early in October to Sir Charleß Hutton Gregory, expresident of the Institute ot Civil Engineers. The bride was born in 1816 and the bridegroom in 1817, so that it was a notable wedding. Mrs Stirling was the daughter of Capt. Hehl, of the Horse Guards, and was born in Queen-street, Mayfair, and educated in a convent. The death of her father leaving his family in pecuniary straits induced her in 1882 to adopt the stage as a profession. After a theatrical career of 53 years, the brave old lady finally retired from the stage in 1886, leaving behind her an honourable record and hosts of friends.
