Blackmore, Go* vernrnent Poniologist, replies as follows :— r" Your memo to hand, [likewise the box containing peach leaves, which I notice are affected with peach curl — a fungoid disease whiqh K attacks the peach. This fungns can be combatted with the fqTtowinj; remedies, viz., Bordeaux mixture 1 and ammoniacal carbonate of copper mixture used as a spray, the firstnamed before the leaves open, the latter just as the leaves expand, a second after the blosspms fall, the third application eleyent^m rafter the second. The remedies'ard preventative rather than remedial, and should therefore be'applieil early. " To make Bordeaux use sulphate of copper 81bs dissolved iti Id gallon's] of water ; lye, fresh, 41b in 6' gallon 4" water.
