The Parliamentary Committee of Iho Track's Union Congress has invitod the Premier to introduce a Bill for the payment of members and their election expenses. The committee suggests that the honorarium should be £800 per annum. The directors of the New Zealand and River plate Land Morlgnge Company will abandon the recon struetion scheme, and now propose to write down fcho capital and reduce the liabilities. They will also cancel a large amount of uncalled capital. The Now Zealand and London securities will be realised, and the investments in River Plate will be limited to £480,000. The Trust Company has tiken over the balance in the Baring's estate, thus relieving the guarantors.
