London. The Glasgow Corporation has decided to erect cold storage buildings capable of holding 25,000 caroases, Mr Black, the Queensland repre* sentative, recommends that the buildings be fitted with Nelson's thawing process. Mr Woddel intends to insist on the introduction of Australian meat into Austria, despite the protest of the Russian Ambassador. Mr Arnold Morley, PostmasterGeneral, speaking at Bristol condemned the penny postage scheme. In the municipal elections in England and Wales the Tories gained a majority of 69, owing chiefly, it is declared, to Socialists being candidates.
