The Chinese arrested at Port Arthur four spies who were caught cutting the wires connecting the torpedoes with shore. It is also intended to insist on an indemnity, with a guarantee that China will not interfere in Corea. Repairs to the Chinese fleet will occupy another ten days. The arsenal at Canton is- providing the fleet with large supplies of shot and shell, The newspaper NoivoMi advocates a Russian annexation of Manchuria and Corea.
