A Drama.

A real drama, says the Figaro, took place in one of the compartments of the reptiles wing of the Jardin d' Acclimatisation. Two snakes had simultaneously seized a rabbit at different ends and began to swallow it. When the keeper perceived the critical nature of the situ ation, he was too late to separate the f two snakes, one of which, as well as ' the rabbit, had passed inside his companion in captivity.
