Shearing Troubles.
The President of the Shearers' Union has suggested a basis for mediation by the Conciliation Board. He urges that the Pastoralists should allow shearing for the remainder of the season on what is known as the verbal agreement, with remuneration on the basis of the 1891 agrees raent, a conference to be held not lai'er than January to determine the terms of the new agreement for next season. The Pastoralists 1 Union has declined to accede to the 'suggestions m.afle through the Conciliation Board, declaring it has no dispute with the employees, further than tha^ the acts of lawlessness committed by a section of the shearers precluded its acceptance to the suggegUoßaT Everybody should subscribe to "Fair Play," the leading monthly magazine.
