HOUSfc OP BEPRESENTATIVES, Tuesday, Bbffembbr 4» The Speaker took the chair at 2.80 p.m. The public Works Bill was introduced and read a first time. Sir Robert Stout moved the adjournment of the House to again call attention to the distribution of Go* vernmetit advertisements, and considerable discussion took place. The Fencing Bill was read a second time, and sent to the Stock Committee. The Rating Bill was committed, and progress was reported. The debate on the second reading of the Rating on Unimproved Value Bill was resumed, and after discussion the second reading was carried by 37 votes to 4. The House adjourned at 1 a.m.
