Fire at Stratford.
■ ♦ •- (from our own correspondent ) I At one o'clock this morning a big fire broke out at Stratford in the Broadway, which destroyed the general store of Mr Curtis, Gardiner's tobacconist shop, Payne's watchmaker's, Ralph's drapery store, the Couuty Council's building, Smith's fruit shop, On Kee's grocery, Kllis's the chemist store, Hannah's boot shop and Taylor's grocer's shop. The loss is estimated at £2500, and the insurance ia stated to ba £2250. There was no fire brigade.
