Foxton Borough Council.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the above was held at the Library Building 3 last night at 7.30. Present—The Mayor (T. P. Williams), Crs. Jenks, Hamer and McMillan. Crs. MoPherson and Austin were absent through illness. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The correspondence received was read. Prom Commissioner of Taxes, notifying the payment of £22 Is 7d, being balance of subsidy due for year 1893 94. From clerk Otaki Licensing Com-, mittee, sending an account for £23 Os sa, beings Council's share of ex penses id connection with licensing matters. From J. G. Wilson, in reply, saying that he had ascertained that the cost of a tracing for a bridge at Wirokino would be 80s, and that he was unable to get plans for the Shannon bridge unless there was a survey made of the river. If this was done, the department would then give the information required. Proposed by the Mayor, seconded by Cr. Jenks— That Alessrs Barber Bros.' certificate for rabbiting dogs to A. Shadbolt be accepted. Carried. The following accounts were passed for payment :— J. Sullivan, £0 ss ; C. Spring, £8 14a 6 ; P. Guerin, £2 ; J. Spring, Bs. Library account — H. Blake, £1 10s ; B. Spelman, £2 10a ; W. Park, £2 16s 9d.
