News has been received that Corean troops attacked the Japanese garrison on Seoul, but were repulsed.
A Japanese cruiser sank a Chinese transport vessel. A Japanese flotilla is bombarding a Corean port, and a hot artillery duel is proceeding.
Thirteen thousand Chinese troops, escorted by eight warships, have landed in Corea unmolested.
