In the House of Lords the Alien Bill, introduced by Lord Salisbury, has been read a second time by a majority of 52.
In speaking to the measure the Premier stated that the police declared that none of the recent Anarchist crimes had been organised in England.
In the House of Commons the Budget has been read a third time by a majority ot twenty. The Nationalists having apolo gised to Mr John Morley, he has decided to continue as chairman of the Irish Land Acts Committee.
The directors of the New Zealand Trust and Loan Company propose to give the debenture- holders a specific charge on the uncalled capital in addition to a floating charge on the assets. Mr Chamberlain suggests that a Private Bill should be introduced to test the feeling in the House with regard to the Gothenburg system of regulating the drink traffic. The Scotch miners accuse their leaders of having ordered the strike upon unfounded pledges of English support, and are resuming work.
